The role of the insurance ombudsman South Africa is to solve consumer complains in short term insurance fairly, efficiently and impartially.

  • Over 52% of all cases in 2011 was solved within 6 months. In 2013 it goes up to 87%
  • In 2013 33% of all cases reported was in favour of the consumer.
